On August 10, 2024 beginning at 8:00 am in Springville, Iowa, the Springville Extreme 6K Quarry Run will kick off. Runners will start in downtown Springville, head west of town and traverse a steep descent down into the working Wendling Quarry. While in the depths of the quarry they will travel through a tunnel, blasted through the rock under Highway 151, turn around, come back through the tunnel and back up an aggressive ascent before finishing downtown. Awards will be given for top finishers of the 6K, both overall and age division.

- Bib (race number)
- Entry into a chip timed event ($5.00 charge for unreturned chips)
- Name in the drawing for door prizes
- Fun time running/walking with family and friends
- A technical shirt (if registration is timely)

Prizes to be awarded for overall male and female winners as well as top 3 in each age group.

Race day registration will be $35 with a t-shirt or $25 without a t-shirt.

Children 11 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult. No strollers or pets allowed in quarry. In event of inclement weather it will be at the quarry management's discretion whether or not we'll be able to run down into the quarry. Sorry, no refunds.

All proceeds will be donated to Springville Sports Boosters.

Packet pickup will be on race day from 7:00 - 8:00.
Location is in the parking lot of the Springville Presbyterian Church (165 Broadway St).
