Join us for the Clive Running Festival, July 20, 2024. As a runner in this race, to then later helping out as a volunteer for the event, I have always enjoyed this local community race. Please consider coming out and participating with your family on this scenic course that takes you on the beautiful Clive Greenbelt Trail. With a 5K, 1 mile run and the Kids Trot mini races (50 meters up to 400 meters), there is an event for all members of the family. This popular trail is used year-round by runners, walkers, and bicyclists. Proceeds from the race are used for trail improvements such as the new drinking fountains which were installed from past races and the annual maintenance on the trail. Your participation in the Clive Running Festival directly benefits all who love and enjoy the use of this wonderful asset.

We are not registering online for this event. Show up on race day and fill out a waiver and get a free race day bib. The race distances are based on age. We start at 50 meters and work our way up to 400 meters long.

Course:
The start and finish this year will be at the Clive Aquatic Center. More information on the actual route and map will be provided at a later date.

Times:
8:00 AM - 5K
9:00 AM 1 Mile Run (6-17)
9:15 AM Kids Trot Fun Run (50M -400M)

Friday, July 19th packet pick up at Fitness Sports in Clive from 4-7PM 8810 Swanson Blvd, Clive, IA 50325
Race day Packet Pick-up is at Clive Community building (by the pool/finish area) - 6:30-7:30AM, Sat. July 20

• Walkers and wheelchair participants are welcome to compete in any event.

• Clive Running Festival is a non-profit event.
  
• Revenue exceeding expenses is used to benefit the community through the Clive Parks and Recreation Department.
  
• Past revenues have been used for water fountains and winter snow removal equipment for the Greenbelt Trail
  
• Entrants can use their race number for swimming on race day at the Clive Aquatic Center, at no additional cost
  
• Clive Running Festival is proud to be a supporting participant for the Senior Olympics
