Come and cheer on Adaptive Athletes as they take their ‘Victory Lap’ around the stadium. PLUS, see who will take home the Corporate 4x4 Relay Trophy.

After the race, stick around for the tailgate where you can enjoy festive food and craft beverages while watching The Cities ° Spring Classic Invitational, a grand finale spotlight featuring some of the region's fastest runners.

Best of all, a portion of the proceeds from this field day of fitness will go to Empowering Abilities, the premier service provider and advocate for individuals with disabilities in the area. Join us on April 20th to support this great cause!

Event Details

THE COMMUNITY 5K:
8:30 am: The Cities ° Spring Classic "Community 5K" is a perfect opportunity for runners who are looking to achieve their new PR. The course is built for speed – flat, yet dynamic, and offers a unique hybrid track/street experience. Runners will start at Brady Street Stadium, loop the track, and then head out into the heart of central Davenport. The course finishes with participants running back into Brady Street Stadium, crossing the finish line feeling like a champion.

Open To: All ages, and abilities. Walkers, joggers, runners, strollers, and pups are all welcome to this event.

THE KIDS RACE:
10:00 am: Children will have the opportunity to dream big and participate in 1/4 and 1/2 mile runs on the track that morning. This will be an incredible experience for kids as they get to engage in the competitive spirit of Track & Field while running in a big stadium. After the races, there will be medals and goodie bags presented to all the participants. Families are encouraged to stay and enjoy the festive stadium food and fun activities on the turf while cheering on other competitors.

THE ADAPTIVE ATHLETES ‘VICTORY RUN’:
10:30 am: We are thrilled to announce that The Cities ° Spring Classic will be featuring an Adaptive Athletes “Victory Lap” this year. Please join us with your support for these incredible competitors as they complete 100m and 400m distances. Awards and goodie bags will be presented after their races.

THE 4X4 CORPORATE RELAY:
11:00 am: The Corporate "4x4 Relay" challenge is a great way to showcase your company and staff! To participate, you need a team of four members. Each member will run a distance of 400 meters, and the winning team will take home our coveted trophy, giving their company bragging rights until next year. This is a great chance for local businesses to bond with their employees, promote teamwork, and have fun while participating in a healthy activity. As a corporate entry, your business will have its banner featured on the track.

THE SPRING CLASSIC INVITATIONAL:
11:30 am: The Cities ° Spring Classic Invitational is the grand finale of the day, featuring top runners from the region competing for cash prizes by completing their fastest 5K run around the track.

THE TAILGATE & FAMILY FUN:
The Cities ° Spring Classic is not just about running, it's also a great opportunity to enjoy some music and tailgate festivities with the THREE MOST IMPORTANT B’s. Complimentary bagels, bacon, and beverages (beer & water) will be available to those who participate in a Spring Classic event.

AWARDS:
Awards will be announced and picked up on the northeast side of the stadium following each event. The "Community 5K" will have age group awards in 10-year increments. All Kids and Adaptive Athletes will receive their awards immediately following their races.

PACKET PICK-UP:
Race packets will be available for pick-up on Friday, April 19th from 3-7 pm at Fleet Feet in Davenport. As well as race day on April 20th at Brady Street Stadium, starting at 7am.

THE CAUSE:
Best of all, a portion of the proceeds from this field day of fitness will go to Empowering Abilities [formerly known as the Handicapped Development Center], the premier local service provider and advocate for individuals with disabilities in the area.
