About This Event |
The Indianapolis Sprint Triathlon #2 is happening July 20 and is the second of three co-ed events held at Eagle Creek Park in the Indy Sprint Tri Series. This event offers athletes the chance to compete in an exciting, short course triathlon or duathlon and is perfect for beginners or veterans. Get registered today, as these races are limited to 600 individuals and 50 teams!

Please note that shirts will be ordered in Unisex sizing. Choose accordingly when registering.
Individual Competition |
Participants must complete the swim by 8:40am, begin biking by 8:45am, and complete the bike course by 9:35am. If unable to do so, the race organizers reserve the right to shorten competitors' swim and/or biking portions.

There are 3 divisions for Relay Teams (2 or 3 per team): All Male, All Female, and Co-ed. Relay teams compete in a relay format - one person swims, then one person bikes, then one person runs. The top 3 in each division will receive awards.
Duathlon

Age-groups are as follows: 14-17, 18-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34...75+
Also Clydesdale and Athena Division (males 220+ lbs and females 165+ lbs)
There is also a Fat Tire Division, for those wishing to use mountain bikes (wheels must be a minimum of 1.5 inches and have upright handlebars)
If you compete in the Fat Tire or Clydesdale/Athena you will NOT be eligible for age-group awards.

Late Registration
---If race has not sold out, participants will have the option to register at Packet Pick Up on Friday OR Saturday. Prices increase on Saturday, so be sure to pre-register!
Participant and Volunteer Parking Pass |
This event requires a specific parking pass, which can be found in the weeks leading up to the event on the Pre-Race Instructions page (click here). Participants and volunteers may park for free by either showing this parking pass on their phone OR printing out the parking pass.

All participants and volunteers MUST enter through the 56th Street gate at Eagle Creek Park.
Please follow the signs and park in the designated pavement lot or grass lot. If you don't bring a parking pass on event day, you will be required to pay the gate parking fee of $6 per car. Enter through the 56th Street gate.
Volunteer Information |
We cannot make our events a great success without our volunteers! Donate you time and help keep our athletes safe. We welcome individuals, groups, and organizations to join us!
All volunteers receive an event t-shirt and have access to refreshments. We donate back to groups/organizations that volunteer with us for the day.
The following shifts are available:
Packet pick-up: 6:15am - 8:00am
- Distribute bibs, timing tags, shirts, etc to participants.
Body Marking: 6:15am - 8:00am
- Write participants' bib number on their arm to prepare them for competition.
Transition: 6:45am - 10:00am
-Assist within the transition area where the bikes and gear are placed. Help participants in locating their transition station, give directional assistance during the race, and secure the area.
Bike Course: 7:30am - 10:00am
-Give directional assistance to participants out on the bike course.
Run Course: 7:00am - 10:30am
-Give directional assistance to participants out on the run course.
Water Station: 7:00am - 10:30am
-Pass out water and/or Gatorade to the participants on the course.
Finish Line: 7:30am - 10:30am
-Help with passing out water, removing timing tags or preparing refreshment tent for finishers.
USAT Sanctioned |
These events are sanctioned by the USA Triathlon. All USAT rules will be enforced. Please visit www.teamusa.org/usa-triathlon for information on rules and regulations as well as information for those interested in obtaining a USA Triathlon License. The event is limited to ages 14 and above.
