Race packet pickup on Sat July 13 at Lost Cabin brewery in Rapid City 2 - 4 pm..

Race day check-in is between 6:00 - 7:00am.

Mandatory swimmer safety meeting at 7:30 am on race day.

The race starts at 8:00 am for the 5 km, with each distance starting 10 min later. Picnic and awards after the swim!

The race route is the same as previous years, the route is an out-and-back starting at the swim beach, going across the dam and back depending on the distance chosen. Post-event picnic and awards after the race. Choose wetsuit or non-wetsuit division during registration. You can change wetsuit designation up till July 5 by contacting purepactola@gmail.com .. Parking will be at the top of the dam near the Visitor's Center with shuttle bus running swimmers down to the beach. There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION, online registration closes on Friday July 12 at 11:59 pm. We will send details to registered swimmers as we get closer to the event about conditions and details for race packet pickup etc. All event registration prices go up by $20 on 12:01 am EST March 1st so register early! Free event towel for all registered swimmers, if you want a t-shirt or extra towel(s) you can order them with registration. Orders for t-shirts close June 15. SEE YOU IN THE WATER!!
