On June 1st, 2024, the Hopkins Royal Triathlon will once again be offering a fun event to promote multi-sport activities in our state. It will feature an open water swim (only) competition, with 3 different swim distances to choose from. Plus, we will be inviting event Directors from all over the state to come out to let you know about their events. As an extra bonus, we will also be hosting a triathlon gear swap meet (aka: garage sale) so start putting things aside now!

ACTIVITIES:
Swim Event- option of .3 mile (Sprint), 1.5K/.9 mile (Olympic), or a 1.2 (Half IM) distance
Race Director Expo- come learn (from representatives) what events and activities are happening this summer
Swap Meet- bring any gear (bikes, parts, clothing, etc.) you want to sell or come see what what hidden gems you might find
Post race potluck BBQ-we provide the burgers and hot dogs and such, but people are also invited to bring something to share, if they'd like.

8-8:30 Check in (get your race number, swim cap, etc.)
9:00 Swim starts (Half IM, Olympic, then Sprint)
10-11:00 Race Expo, Swap Meet, & Potluck BBQ
10:30 Awards and door prizes

1. The lake could be a little chilly (maybe in the 60s), so wet suits are recommended (but NOT required)
2. We will have plenty of lifeguards, kayaks, and boats on hand, but NOT "swim angels" (they want to swim too!)
3. In order to do 1.2 miles, participants will swim both the (.3 mile) Sprint course AND the (.9 mile) Olympic course.
4. Race expo, swap meet, and BBQ open to all, not just participants.
