INFORMATIONAL & REGISTRATION FOR MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TRACK CLUB
- Cost is $150 for athletes 14 and under* and $125 for athletes 15 and above*.
- NEW TO THE CLUB - Bring photocopy of birth certificate & any questions you have
- MVTC is a non-profit organization.
$25 of your registration fee may be considered a tax-deductible contribution.
* Athletes competition age is their age as of 12/31/24 and athletes who are still 18 on the final day of the AAU Junior Olympics are eligible to compete in the 17-18 age division.
What is the Mississippi Valley Track Club (MVTC)?
- A youth summer club coaching youth track & field programs for boys and girls ages 8 (&under) to 18** years old.
- Practices to be held at Bettendorf High School track.
- Athletes that register for will train on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday, will focus on recovery, technical skills and field events. [*]Practices are from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 10AM, if scheduled.
- Practices begin April 24th and ends in late July.
- Senior High School track athletes may begin practice after their HS season is done.
- Compete in numerous AAU & USATF sanctioned track meets.

General Information:
We try to have regular parent meetings throughout the season, usually at the beginning of a practice. We will primarily contact all via email plus the MVTC website will updated for communication about the meetings and other pertinent information.

- It is recommended that all athletes practice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. Tuesday and Thursday practices are highly encouraged and will focus on light training, hurdles, field events and speciality skills.
- Practice uniform: running shorts (NO BASKETBALL SHORTS), short sleeve top, & running shoes. Spikes can be used when coaches give the ok, and generally for hurdle, block start, long jump & high jump practices.
- Bring a water bottle to practice every day. No soda, Kool Aid, etc. Sports drinks are good for AFTER practice.
- MVTC competes in both AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) and USATF (USA Track & Field Association) sanctioned track meets and in their National Junior Olympic series of track meets.
14 and Under and 15 and Above Programs |
14 and Under at $150.00*, which includes training workouts on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with Tuesday and Thursday dedicated to light training, hurdles, field events, and speciality skills, competition t-shirt, AAU and USATF membership fees, local USATF developmental meets, state AAU and USATF meet registration fees. The cost of AAU district and USATF regionals, as well as, AAU / USATF nationals will be an al a cart pass through fee. The athlete will be able to sign up for regional/districts/nationals via GetMeRegistered.com and must do so in the specified timeframe, which will be defined by MVTC. The athlete will be responsible for the cost of travel and lodging. MVTC will provide travel and lodging for those athletes that request it but at a cost that keeps the club whole. MVTC will provide sponsorship for athletes on an individual basis.
