Maranatha Christian's 2024 ‘It’s a Great Day To Run (and walk) 5k’ is an event for the whole family! We will have a fun run for the kids followed by the 5k for those who want to run/walk Maranatha Christian’s home cross country course. You can come out and cheer on the runners or sign up and join in on the run yourself!

Kid’s Pond Run - (FREE or $15 to include a t-shirt)
A free run for kids up to 5th grade. The run is around .3 miles around the pond out on Maranatha’s home cross country course.
Kids will get their own race bib for the race, but there will be no official timing.

It’s a Great Day To Run 5k! - ($29)
Participants will get to enjoy a 5k run/walk over the Maranatha Christian’s Home Cross County Course. All participants will who sign up on or before April 10th, and choose to get a t-shirt, will receive a Race t-shirt. Funds from the event will support Maranatha Christian’s Track & Field.

Race Location: Zarda Farm (32001 W. 127th Street, Olathe, KS 66061)

Packet Pickup: Maranatha Christian Academy's Track (7055 Silverheel St, Shawnee, KS 66226) - we will have a tent set up by the entrance to the track by the bleachers


Awards: Awards will be given for the 5k to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

The awards station will be located within the Finish Line area close to the. If you placed in the top 3 overall or in your age group go to the awards station to claim your award.
AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED.
If you are unable to pick up your award at the race, email xcvhc@ma-kc.org to let us know you want your award and you will have the opportunity to pick up your award at an agreed upon date, time, and location.
