The Rock-Out Homelessness 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is designed for the whole family!!! The event will benefit Rock the Socks, whose focus is to provide new socks and hygiene items to our housing-challenged friends.

There will be boxes to donate men's white crew socks.

Don't forget to ROCK-OUT your run with crazy funky socks, silly red outfits and the most energy you can bring.

This event will have vendors, music, sponsor tables and more.

Race Day 5K & 1M Fun Run:
Race Day Registration: 7:30 a.m.
Opening ceremony starts at 8:30 am
5K Race: 9:00 a.m.
Fun Run: 9:10 a.m.

Fees will raise $5 on race day for the 5K.

Registration includes Official race bib and RTS bracelet

Virtual/Sleep-in Runner:
- Participants can sign up to run or walk virtually from anywhere to show your support!

Hey Friends,

In 2020, Kevin and I wanted to give back to areas we needed help in the past. We had several packages of socks and backpacks. So we bagged up what we had and headed out on Christmas morning of 2020. This adventure led us to ride the dart rail and buses in and around DFW to find our housing-challenged friends. That is how Rock the Socks started.

We set our 2021 goal to collect ten thousand pairs of socks. So I went straight to Facebook with videos, boomerangs, and an Amazon Wishlist our family, friends, and a local church partnered with us all year long. We went from a few packages to 100's of socks to 1,000's pairs to almost meeting our goal and collecting 9,628 pairs of socks. WOW!!!

We want to continue this journey to create relationships with the housing challenged by just giving two pairs of socks. We want to build awareness of the complex lives of those on the streets and extend love by partnering with others to impact lives. What better way than to have an annual 5K event for the Rock the Socks and RockOut Homelessness?

We are excited to partner with you during this 5K run and other contributions.

During this event, we will also collect men's white crew socks, toboggans, and gloves. Packages of twelve pairs of socks impact six lives. Let's join as a community and help those in need.

Race Awards will be presented following the 5K!

Registration received by 10/14/2023, will receive an event T-Shirt. T-Shirts will be on a first-come, first-serve basis after this time!
