Bring the whole family & have some foolish fun at the inaugural 1st Annual April Fools 5K & 1K Fun Run in Old Celina Park! All proceeds will go towards supporting the Rex Marco M.D. Fund of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which is an organization dedicated to advancing spinal cord injury treatment, research and education. Be sure to bring your zaniest outfits and best pranks! The event will have music, carnival games, face painting, balloon animals and a contest for best costume! Coffee, doughnuts and refreshments will be served at the concession tables. The family 1K Fun Run will start at 8:00 and the course will be full of April Fools' surprises to keep you on your toes! The 5K race will start at 8:30. Trophies will be presented to the top finishers in their respective age categories in an award ceremony held shortly after the race. All kids will receive medals. Come run with us in Old Celina Park or from home as a virtual runner to show your support for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation & help them make paralysis a curable condition.

About the event: the April Fools 5K & 1K Fun Run is an event for family and friends! Excluding the cost of the getting the race together (permit application, race timing, food and drink, activities for younger children), all proceeds will go to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which will use the donations to fund spinal cord injury research and education.

The event will have coffee, doughnuts, breakfast burritos, music, sponsor tables, face painting, spinal cord injury awareness education, and more.

Race Day 5K & 1K Fun Run:
• Registration: 7:00 am., 1K Fun Run: 8:00 a.m. & 5K Race: 8:30 a.m. Registration includes Official race bib, *T-shirt.

Virtual/Sleep-in Runner:
• Participants can sign up to run or walk virtually from anywhere to support the event.
• Registration includes T-shirt

*Registration received by 03/06/23 will receive an event T-shirt. T-shirts will not be guaranteed after this date. Register early to run at a discounted price and guarantee a T-shirt!

Race Awards will be presented in a ceremony held shortly after the 5K

Live Results for all pre-registered participants can be found by scanning the QR code on the label to your bib to go directly to your results. These are preliminary!. For all race day participants, you can scan the QR code on the bib, as you will have no label, that will take you to the website where you can look up your bib number.
