FAQ |
Where is the event?
Everywhere! The Paws for a Cause in-person event will be held at Windmill Park in Orange City, Iowa on August 27th at 8:30 am. Not in our neck of the woods? No problem! Run virtually from wherever you are!
How does a virtual run work?
Due to the popularity of last year's virtual run, we are offering this as a participation option again for 2022. This means you'll have ten days to go for your run or doggie dash in your own location any time between August 17th and 27th, 2022. The first 75 registrants will get t-shirts and swag bags and those will be shipped to you before the start date so you can wear your shirt out on your run. After signing up, you'll also get a link to the event's Facebook group where you can post pics of you on your run or with your four-legged friends on your doggie dash.
What is a doggie dash?
The one-mile doggie dash is an opportunity to get out and do something healthy with your four-legged friend! No need to dash, you can also stroll.
Can I walk the one mile without a dog?
Absolutely!
Can my dog and I do the 5K?
Sure!
Will there be awards and prizes?
Because this a fun run to raise money for a good cause, there won’t be medals or other awards. But if you sign up early, we have fun t-shirts and the coolest doggie swag bags ever.
What is Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue?
In 2022 our beneficiary is Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue, a volunteer-powered nonprofit based in Sioux City, IA. Noah’s Hope is dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals and finding them loving forever homes.
Does my dog need to be on a leash?
Yes. For the safety of the dogs and participants we ask that all dogs remain on a leash.
