The STRIDES for Diabetes Awareness 5k & 10k is Saturday, October 15 at 8:30. It is sponsored by Zionsville Lions Club, Inc.
Come run or walk the streets of Zionsville to help increase awareness about Diabetes. About 1 in 10 Americans have Type 2 Diabetes, but from 25 to 50 percent of them don't know it. Diabetes is a major cause of heart attacks, blindness, lower limb amputation and kidney failure. A healthy diet, regular physical activity, and avoiding tobacco use are ways to prevent or delay the onset.
Your participation in the STRIDES for Diabetes Awareness 5K & 10K Run/Walk on October 15, on the quaint streets of Zionsville, will help get the word out about Type 2 Diabetes. Your exercise will help promote the benefits of exercise! Please join us!
