Our Mission |
The Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney Foundation partners with the City of McKinney as stewards for the management, restoration, enhancement, and design of the World Collection Park, along with these projects: the Annual Mother's Day Project, the Annual Crape Myrtle Run & Festival, the annual School Grant Project, the miles of Crape Myrtle Trails project, and promotion of McKinney as America's Crape Myrtle City as designated by U.S. Federal government in 2004. We could not do this without you - our loyal supporters. The CMT Foundation is an all-volunteer board with no paid staff and we are 100% self-funded through our fundraising events and the generosity of our sponsors and donors.

2021 Crape Myrtle School Run Grants - Don't Miss This Opportunity! |
During your runner registration process, be sure to select your school! If you don't see your school, add your school name, city, and state.
All schools are eligible, regardless of school type, location, or runner registration level!
If you'd like to support your child, grandchild, or favorite school, you can participate in this year's Crape Myrtle Run as a Virtual Runner - and select school or enter your school name to ensure that school gets credit for your registration. It's a great way to help promote a healthy habit of exercise within our youth! As a virtual runner, you'll qualify for a runner's shirt and bib - pick those up early at Run-On! McKinney beginning Tuesday, Sept 21 from 10am to 7pm through Friday, Sept 24.
One advantage of being a virtual runner, you can begin to run or walk NOW in your own neighborhood, treadmill, etc. You'll need to track your time and distance to qualify for the 1-Mile, 10K, or 5K with the end day of Saturday, Sept 25, 2021. As a virtual runner, you won't qualify for placement or medals but hey, you can say you did participate in the 2021 Crape Myrtle Run. And who knows, next year you might try the Virtual Boston Marathon.!
