WHAT'S WITH THE NAME JANUS AND HOW DOES THIS EVENT WORK?
January is named in honor of the Roman deity Janus. Janus represented transitions and entryways, among other things. As we transition out of a most challenging 2020, we're optimistically focused on the year ahead. During January, participants can run or walk a half marathon, 10K or 5K, then post their results and photos online. Registration includes a bib number and medallion, with t-shirts for an additional purchase.
