This year has brought a lot of uncertainty, and we’ve been forced to live life differently. However, I’m here to say, “Have no fear! The 4th Annual Moebius Fun Run/Walk will still go on come January 2021…with a few revisions.”

I’ve prayed long and hard about my fundraiser. As you know, it’s something I'm extremely passionate about as it’s near and dear to my heart. Not to mention, I'm very humbled and thankful for the wonderful community I live in; believing in me and supporting the KaraSmiles Fund and its cause!

Due to COVID, this year’s run will be virtual for the protection of peoples’ health and safety!

-The event is set for January 1ST – 16TH 2021.

-The registration fee is $25.00 per person – 1 mile or 5K.

-you may purchase an event t-shirt cost will be $15.00

Kara James was born with Moebius and Poland Syndrome, but the age of 13 Kara was fortunate to undergo a life changing surgery to show her beautiful smile. Kara is passionate about not only helping raise awareness, but to help support others with a life changing smile. Kara created the Kara Smiles Fund to help offset medical expenses for those needing the "Smile Surgery" with primary persons suffering from facial paralysis, including but not limited to Moebius Syndrome, cleft lip, Bell’s palsy.

Moebius syndrome is a rare neurological condition that primarily affects the muscles that control facial expressions and eye movement, which leaves children with Moebius unable to have any facial expressions, including a smile. Grant distributions from this Fund are made to qualified medical facilities assisting with qualified medical expenses.
