The Edinboro Triathlon began in 1986, and we invite you to take part in the 33rd Edition. Tthis historic and community-loved event makes its return to racing on Saturday, June 5th, 2021.

The Races:
Individual Olympic Triathlon: .93 mile (1.5k) swim, 24.8 mile (40k) bike, 6.2 mile (10k) run
Individual Olympic Aquabike: .93 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike
Individual Sprint Triathlon: .3 mile (.5k) swim, 12.5 mile (20k) bike, 3.1 mile run
2-3 Person Sprint Triathlon Relay: .3 mile swim, 11.2 mile bike, 3.1 mile run (there will be no additional relay registrations accepted for ET2021)

ET2021 Athlete Capacity:
Olympic Distance: 100 athletes
Sprint Distance: 150 athletes

Located in Erie County, PA, ET2021 primarily benefits the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department and other local non-profits whose continued support makes it possible to continue the tradition of The Edinboro Triathlon.
Athletes must be 15 years of age or older as of 12/31/2021 to participate in any ET2021 event.
Come take a dip in serene Edinboro Lake, ride through beautiful country roads, and run through surrounding Edinboro neighborhoods. USAT Sanctioned.

There will be no Race Day Registration
Athletes must be 15 years of age as of 12/31/2021
There are no refunds, deferrals may be requested for athlete medical reasons only and accepted at the discretion of the race committee.

First Olympic Distance Athletes: 7:25AM
First Sprint Distance Athletes: 8:40AM


*Note: Swim start format and waves may be subject to change prior to race day per the coordinators’ decision.

Awards will be given to:
Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female for the Individual Olympic, Sprint, and Aquabike events.
*All registered athletes are eligible to place in the overall top 3 of their event.*

Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female in Individual Olympic category will receive: 1st - $200, 2nd - $100, and 3rd - $50.

Top 3 Male and Female in the individual events by age group (age as of 12/31/2021):
15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59,60-64, 65-69, 70+

Top 3 finishing Sprint Relay teams in the following divisions: All Male, All Female, Mixed

Previous Race Director Namesake Awards:
- The Hugo Goldthwaite "Future of Tri" Award: to the youngest Olympic triathlete
- The Pat Davis "Most Seasoned Triathlete" Award: to the oldest individual event triathlete
- The Brianne McClellan "Middle of the Pack" Award: to the athlete finishing in the middle of the Sprint Triathlon
