Learn how you can compost year round inside your home and become a worm farmer. Participants will build their own worm bin to take home and make into a family project. Red Wigglers will be provided and instructions will be given to create a healthy habitat for the worms to eat your food scraps and reduce your carbon footprint. You could build your worm bin with us or choose to take your supplies home and we can send you materials needed to put together your own bin.

Funds generated from this event will go towards setting up a larger composting system at the Swiss Valley Nature Center to utilize as an educational component to show the public.
