Details and Dog Rules:

This event is open to people running with or without dogs. To keep everyone, pups included, safe there are special rules that apply for those running or walking with a dog.

• Leashes ARE Required: All dogs must always be on a leash. All dogs should absolutely be kept on a tight and short leash both in the event area and on the race route. Retractable leashes are NOT allowed at the event, due to the risk it can cause to other participants and runners.
• Vaccines: All dogs must be up to date on their vaccines. A current rabies tag is sufficient and will be checked at time of registration/bib pick-up. If you cannot provide proof of vaccination, you will not be allowed to participate and will not receive a refund.
• Aggressiveness: Aggressive dogs can be a concern for pet lovers and participants who are enjoying a fun, pet-friendly event. It is important for the safety of all participants that every dog is well behaved, can handle crowds and are people and dog friendly. Any such dog that is aggressive or irritable will be removed from the race or the event area to ensure the safety of the other dogs, spectators and runners.
• Doggie First Aid: There will be water stations and cooling pools at the start/finish line, and at each mile on the course. Be sure to bring extra water for your dog and ensure that they can participate in the 5K or 1 mile without becoming physically stressed.
• “Droppings” and Clean-Up: We understand that nature calls, but we ask that every dog owner be prepared to pickup after your dog both on the course and in the event area.

Race Day Registration:

7:00 a.m. - Walk-Up Registration Opens
8:00 a.m. - 1M Fun Run
8:30 a.m. - 5K

The race will start and end at Sachse High School

Awards only given to 5K Runners

Overall Male & Female
1st, 2nd, 3rd Place awards will be given to Male & Female in the following age groups:
1-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

All participants will receive a swag bag with their t-shirt and items from local businesses and a bandana for their pup, treats and other puppy related items.
