FORT WORTH BEER MILE IV Moved to May 2021 |
Join us on the fourth Annual Fort Worth Beer Mile III 2020 as we run along the Trinity; the race will be 1 mile along the Trinity River trail between Mutts and Press Cafe near the Clearfork trailhead.

Proceeds of the Beer Mile will benefit Veritas Life Adventure. A group dedicated to providing youth with an unconventional, holistic experience that rejuvenates and reawakens the mystery and joy that comes from seeing and experiencing God.

'Official Beer Mile’ Runner’s Things to Know |
1. Each competitor drinks four cans of beer and runs 1 mile.
2. Beer must be consumed before each ¼ mile is begun, within the transition area which is the 10 meter zone.
3. The race begins with the drinking of the first beer.
4. Competitors must drink canned beer and the cans should not be less than 355ml (the standard can volume) or 12oz (the imperial equivalent). 5
5. No specialized cans or bottles may be used that give an advantage by allowing the beer to pour at a faster rate. ie "super mega mouth cans" or "wide mouth bottles" will not be provided.
6. Beer cans must not be tampered with in any manner, ie. no shotgunning or puncturing of the can except for opening the can by the tab at the top.
‘All Participants’ Things to Know
7. Beer will be a minimum of 5% alcohol by volume.
8. Don’t eat too much within an hour of the race.
9. The race is short, but remember to warm up and stretch.
10. Hydrate well the day before and day of the race.
11. ****If you haven’t ran a beer mile before there is chance you may not be able to finish all your beers in the run. No worries, you will have a beer to sip and enjoy at the finish line! Containers will be set near beer stations if for any reason you try and finish the race to quickly and your stomach betrays you.******
12. There should be plenty of parking at “Mutts”, along the street, at Clearfork Trailhead, or at the shops at Clearfork .
13. To have your time recorded on the official beer mile website you will need to have your time recorded. Indicate on the .
14. You are free to run and drink at your own pace, but the Beer Mile is a race and beer stations will stop serving beer after a reasonable amount of time for runners to complete the race.
15. All of the beer in the race is Local Fort Worth Craft beer! Make sure to savor it as you speed through the race!
Official Beer Mile Rules: |

3. The race begins with the drinking of the first beer.
4. Timed competitors drink canned beer and the cans should not be less than 355ml (the standard can volume) or 12oz (the imperial equivalent). (due to availabilty one beer may be served on draft)
5. Beer cans must not be tampered with in any manner, ie. no shotgunning or puncturing of the can except for opening the can by the tab at the top.
6. Beer will be a minimum of 5% alcohol by volume.
* You of course have the option for the unofficial beer mile, which is....run, walk, skate, skip your way through the mile course, or don't, all the while enjoying 5 tasty beers, or less. Enjoy the way and the amount you want.
All of the beer in the race will be provided by local Fort Worth craft breweries so make sure to savor it as you speed through the race! If you haven’t run a beer mile before, there is a chance you may not be able to finish all your beers during the run. No worries, you will have one more beer to sip and enjoy at the finish line! In addition, every Beer Miler will receive a beer glass with the Beer Mile logo!
There will be two classes of runners: Chip Timed Beer Milers (those going for an official time starting at 7:00 pm and Regular Beer Milers (those who think running is over rated) starting at 7:15 pm. You can determine the group you would like to participate in at the event. Please show up 30 minutes before the race begins to check in with a photo ID. Both groups may choose to have their times recorded on the official Beer Mile website. Event is Rain or Shine.

Teaches, develops, and strengthens habits and practices of physical conditioning through varied outdoor activities such as hiking, team sports, yoga, rock climbing, etc.
Educates and develops a balanced nutritional lifestyle focusing on portion size, essential vitamins and minerals, and all-natural buying and food preparation.
Develops, encourages, and rejuvenates the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional states of participants, while guiding their search for truth.
