We had a new course all set up in 2019 that would have taken us back to Aduddell's point-to-point roots for the 50th, starting on the Jenks Pedestrian Bridge and finishing at 56th Street on the River Parks Trail. Unfortunately "the Good Lord was not willing and the creeks did indeed rise," so we had to use the Plan B out-and-back course. Not to be deterred, we tried again for the 51st Annual in 2020. Needless to say that didn't work out either, so we're going to wind it up and try to make it fly again this year.
True to its pedigree, Aduddell 2021 will be a no/low frills runner's race. Okay we'll have a couple of frills - water and gatorade at the finish, maybe some bagels and bananas, and maybe even a water stop somewhere between here and there.
THERE WILL BE NO TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN THE START AND THE FINISH, so runners are on their own to get back to their car after the race. You can either park in the middle, say at Helmerich Park, and jog to the start as a warm-up, or just allow for a LONG cool-down back to 96th Street from the finish at 56th.
Start time is 7:30 AM with race day registration beginning at 6:45. We're sticking with throwback prices again this year, $15 through May 16 and $20 thereafter. Packet pick-up will be at Tulsa Runner beginning Wednesday, May 26.
This race is sanctioned by USATF and the course is certified.
