What is a virtual run?
Pick a time and place that is convenient for you. Run on your own, with your family, a few friends or your dog! You can run your favorite outside route in your city, or on a treadmill in your living room! We also have a great 5K route posted for those of you who live in Canyon and want to use it. You will time yourself and submit your results online.

Why is the Giddy Up for Tex 5K being changed to a virtual run?
The City of Canyon has declared a Local Disaster Declaration for COVID-19 (March 18th, 2020). Canyon Main Street in conjunction with the City of Canyon is dedicated to the health and safety of our community and doing what we can to “flatten the curve”. We are also following current CDC and City of Amarillo Public Health recommendations to cancel gatherings with 10 people or more.

During this time of social gathering restrictions and confinement, we want to help you find ways to get outside and remain active and healthy! This also still gives us an opportunity to raise funds for The Tex Randall Project. 100% of your registration fee will be donated to The Tex Randall Project. We appreciate your support!

*If you choose to run with friends, please limit your group to 10 people or less and practice social distancing.

The first T-Shirt order will be placed on April 1st. The last day to register is May 15th.
