1:00 PM: Race Day Registration and Packet Pick Up
2:00 PM: Start for 5K Run/Walk and 8K Run events
The Courses |
Both the 5K and 8K courses are flat, fast and scenic, on the bike paths along the Willamette River, starting and finishing near the shelters in Alton Baker Park.
Directions |
In Eugene, take Coburg Road to MLK Blvd.
Turn south on Country Club Road and immediately left into Alton Baker Park.
Awards |
Awards to the top overall male and female finishers, plus awards for the top three finishers in each age group in both races.
Proceeds Benefit |
Bridgeway House was dear to Richard Wigney's heart and in honor of the help and support he so tirelessly offered Bridgeway House all race proceeds will benefit the Richard Wigney Memorial Scholarship Fund for clients of Bridgeway House. Bridgeway House opened in October 2002 and offers treatments, therapies, counseling, education, instruction, training, advocacy, support, and resource information to families of all income levels with autism and related disabilities.
With autism on the rise, we must give thoughtful consideration to all alternatives to enrich our children's and loved one's lives. Bridgeway House works with a variety of medical professionals, teachers, consultants, and specialists to bring together enriching programs and services for children with autism and their families in order to improve their lives.
