The Reston Triathlon is a non-profit organization run by a board of directors composed entirely of volunteers. For safety and success, the race relies on local volunteers and organizations, including local boy and girl scout troops, high school track teams, police, medical and other personnel. A portion of the registration fee is donated to these groups in thanks for their efforts. If you would like to show your support for our local volunteers, you may make a donation when you register.

Reston Triathlon Association, Inc is now a 501(c)(3) Charity.
Effective August 22, 2018 all contributions to Reston Triathlon Association, Inc qualify for an income tax deduction as a contribution to a qualified charity.

Course Description

This is an Olympic Distance Triathlon.

SWIM 1.5 km: in Reston's Lake Audubon

BIKE 40 km: three laps on moderately hilly roadways in Reston. The first two laps are identical. The third lap changes course and finishes at
South Lakes high school.

RUN 10 km: on shaded Reston pathways, starting and ending at the South Lakes high school stadium.

Parking
There will be no parking at the lake on race day, so you must park your vehicle in the parking lots at South Lakes High School located on South
Lakes Drive at Langston Hughes Middle School lot or Ridge Heights Road.

Please note: Registration needs to be closed at least a week BEFORE the event. This is because Swag needs to be pre-ordered months before Race date. Also, there are final preparations that must take place after closure and before Packet Pickup.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be postponed for 30-45 minutes in hopes the inclement weather will pass.
If the inclement weather does not pass within a reasonable time frame, the event may be changed to a duathlon format.
If the Safety Director rules the lake to be unsafe, the swim portion of the race will be replaced by an additional run segment.
Every effort will be made to start this event on time on this date. Should this event be canceled due to an Act of God or other circumstance beyond the race directors control there will be no refunds, credits, or transfers.
