You'll find the 2020 Dayton Ghost N Goblin 5k, presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC), the best & biggest Halloween-themed road race in town!
We're keeping the tradition alive by running virtually in 2020! What does that mean? You register, we send you your swag, and you run or walk a 5k anytime before October 31.
You'll be able to enter your results (on the honor system!) online.
All participants will receive an awesome shirt and spooky themed magnet, and be automatically entered to win raffle prizes. We'll also do a virtual costume contest on Facebook and have other virtual events for prizes along the way!

If you're registered by September 13, mailed packets will arrive approximately October 8.

If you're registered by October 1, mailed packets will arrive approximately October 28.

In-person pickup options will be at an outdoor venue TBD in the Dayton area the weekends of October 10-11 and October 24-25. Exact date and time will be emailed to participants.

This year's race shirts are a performance long sleeve quarter zip pullover.
100% polyester, moisture-wicking, and UV protection. All shirts will be purple with the brand new logo!

What's a Halloween run without a costume contest? Dress up in your best costume, post a photo online, and be eligible for some great prizes! Keep an eye on your email and Facebook for more details.

We also have many, many raffle prizes that have been generously donated!

We'll be picking random winners and holding some additional online contests, so make sure you like ORRRC Ghost 'n Goblin 5k on Facebook to join in the fun!

All participants are automatically eligible for raffle prizes, but some of the bulkier items will have to be given away at the in-person pickups.

The Ghost 'n Goblin™ 5k is all about fun, but this is where we have to be a little strict (for everyone's safety and enjoyment of the event).

Running the Ghost 'n Goblin 5k virtually in 2020 comes with some unique considerations. Participation is at your own risk, and should be done safely according to all applicable state and local guidelines regarding COVID-19. No type of medical or course support is provided by the ORRRC.

Please DO NOT organize groups of runners that exceed recommendations, or run with large groups on the previously used race course.

The Ghost 'n Goblin™ 5k will not issue refunds for race entry fees, nor any other fees associated with the race. Each participant accepts that risk upon paying their entry fee. We will not offer complimentary race entries to a future race. We use all money collected for the race to develop and produce the event (including race supplies, infrastructure, and administration) and the proceeds benefit the non-profit Ohio River Road Runner's Club.

We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe, fun, and exciting event for everyone. Any decisions we make for safety, fairness, or any other reason will not warrant a refund to any participant.
