- Limited participant field (250 max)
- Masks are mandatory until you have begun competing. Trash bins will be placed near the Swim/Duathlon starts for your masks. We ask that you bring 1 mask to dispose of, and 1 mask to have in the Transition Area, once you’ve finished.
- Triathletes asked to maintain 6’ spacing before you start
- Swimmers will be called in sections of 50, and line up with 6' spacing
- Crowd management at PPU, with markings for 6' spacing
- Larger Transition Area, with spaced out bike racks
- Volunteers will be required to wear masks
- Hand sanitizer available in Eagle Creek Park
- Pre/Post-race mingling and spectators are discouraged

Sue Reynolds, author of “The Athlete Inside” will share her inspirational story of losing 200 pounds, racing in her first triathlon (which occurred on the Go Girl Triathlon race course) while still obese, and progressing to the World Triathlon Championship where she competed on behalf of the United States and finished sixth in the world!

Learn the mantras that Sue used during her first triathlon to push away the fear and pride that threatened to get in the way. Laugh with Sue as she describes dogpaddling the swim in Eagle Creek Reservoir and being clueless in transition. Learn from the mistakes that Sue made. Feel Sue’s joy as she stepped across the finish line for the very first time. Ask Sue your questions about triathlon and the Go Girl Triathlon course. Win an autographed copy of “The Athlete Inside!”

“The Athlete Inside” follows Sue’s journey as she lost 200 pounds and found an athlete hiding inside her body. From her first walk to the neighbor’s mailbox to competing at the World Triathlon Championship, Reynolds discovered the joy of conquering fear and pride to find that the best version of herself had been there all along. 100% of the book proceeds going to USA Triathlon Foundation to help those with disabilities pursue their triathlon dreams.
