This 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is being sponsored by Southwestern Cross Country/Track & Field to increase community involvement during the Southwest Iowa Hot Air Balloon Races and help raise funds for our 2019-20 SWCC Cross Country/Track & Field programs. We wish to thank the Creston Chamber for their support and encourage you all to attend the many other events throughout the day that they have organized and helped promote.

We have a larger team than years past and will be using the money raised for extra program expenses such as, but not limited to food, hotels, transportation, meet entry fees, apparel, shoes, equipment, and additional program scholarships. We very much appreciate your support of SWCC and the Creston Community. We look forward to a great event and to another great year of Spartan Athletics!!!

5K (T-shirts not guaranteed unless registered by September 7th) Start time 8 a.m. Check-in will start at 7 a.m.

The run will start and finish at McKinley Park. The course is fully paved and will follow approximately 50/50 the city streets and the Creston walking trail. An aid station will be set up approximately halfway. Your entry includes a SWCC T-shirt. The race will be chip timed. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female and top 3 in each male and female age division as follows: 7 and under, 8-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-34, 35-49, and 50+.

1 Mile Fun Run: Free (Program donations accepted) Estimated start is 9 a.m., following the end of the 5K.

It is intended for those who do not wish to run a full 5K. It will consist of one loop of the park.
