The highlight of my time with Grief’s Journey would be most definitely, Camp Hope. I was 12 and got the opportunity to attend a weekend full of fun outdoor activities at Camp Kitaki. Upon arrival on Friday none of us knew each other, but by the end of camp on Sunday we all had an unbreakable bond. The most memorable activity that we did that weekend made these square drums. We had every color of sharpie imaginable, and we had to write our names on the outside wood and pass them around. Everyone got to write a message on every person's drum about what they liked about them and let me tell ya it was uplifting to read what people thought about me after spending just one weekend together. I still have mine today, and every once in a while I find it again and read all of the loving messages on it. That weekend at Camp Hope will stay with me forever.
With my donation goal of $2,500, I could send five kids to Camp Hope. It's my hope the experience could impact their life like it impacted mine. Thank you.

Since 2001, Grief’s Journey has been a welcoming, safe place where grieving children, teens, and adults find hope. Research indicates that unresolved grief correlates to issues such as poor school performance and emotional and behavioral concerns, whereas healthy coping leads to long-term success for the child, the family, and the community. As the region’s cornerstone for grief support, we provide free peer support programs as well as training, education, and consultation throughout Nebraska and Iowa. Grief’s Journey relies on charitable contributions, special event income, and volunteerism to support its free programs.
