BOILER UP on Saturday, October 19 at the 8th Annual Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon & 5K!

Join thousands of runners and walkers as you start and finish at Ross-Ade Stadium, the home of Purdue football! The half-marathon course will meander through the cities of West Lafayette, Lafayette, and of course the Purdue University Campus. Not up for a half-marathon? Stick to the 5k for the perfect tour of the campus! (See our full course descriptions below)

Whether you are a Purdue alum, student, fan, or have no affiliation to the school at all, the Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon & 5k is a must-do this fall!

We are proud to once again support the Purdue Athletes Life Success Program (PALS). PALS is a free, summer development program for underserved youth, ages 8-14, in Tippecanoe County. Since the inaugural 2012 event, over $70,000 has been raised for PALS!

Course Descriptions

---HALF-MARATHON COURSE ---
Experience all there is to see in West Lafayette and Lafayette! Participants will start just outside of Ross-Ade Stadium, before beginning along this scenic course. Take in the sights and sounds of both of these beautiful cities as you pass Birck Boilermaker Golf Course and Kampen Golf Course, before crossing over the Wabash River into historic downtown Lafayette, where you will run along Main Street and past the Tippecanoe County Courthouse.

Once back in West Lafayette, treat yourself to the perfect tour of the Purdue University Campus as you pass by many iconic sites, such as Academy Park, Memorial Mall, the France A. Cordova Recreational Center, the Elliott Hall of Music, the Engineering Fountain, the Stadium Mall, and the David Ross Memorial and Garden. Then, cross the finish line back at Ross-Ade Stadium!

---5K COURSE---
Participants will start outside of Ross-Ade Stadium and travel through the heart of Purdue University while passing many of the highlights on campus, including the David Ross Memorial and Garden, the France A. Cordova Recreational Center, the Elliott Hall of Music, the Engineering Fountain, the Stadium Mall, and the ever popular Mackey Arena. Finish up back at Ross-Ade Stadium to complete your tour of the gorgeous Purdue University Campus!

---RECOVERY / AID STATIONS---
Expect top quality water station and replacement fluids along the course. Medical stations will also be included along the way.

Pace Team

We are excited to bring back our official pacers to help you reach your goal at the 2019 Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon! All pacers will be positioned in their designated corrals, and will be holding a sign to indicate their pace. We will be providing one (1) pacer per time.

Pace Groups - 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00.

Awards

Overall results will be posted as quickly as possible, and age-group awards can be picked up at the Packet Pick Up tables, just outside Ross-Ade Stadium.

Age-Group Awards
---Awards will be presented to the Top 3 male and female finishers, in 5-year increments in both the half-marathon and 5k.

Top 3 Overall Half-Marathon Finishers (Male and Female)
--- 1st place - $300
--- 2nd place- $200
--- 3rd place - $100

Kids Fun Run

Let your youngsters burn off some energy in the Kids Fun Run! This short race (~50 yards) is free to children under the age of 8 and does NOT require any registration.

All kids will receive a finisher medal.

This event will start at 10:30am near the Start/Finish line

Packet Pick Up and Expo

Although we encourage you to pick your packet up on Friday, you may pick your packet up on race morning if you are unable to attend the expo. Race Day pick-up will be on the north side of Ross Ade Stadium.

---Location: Mackey Arena - 900 John R. Wooden Drive, West Lafayette, IN (enter from Northwestern Ave. doors)
---Parking: You may park in the large parking lot, north of Ross-Ade Stadium. Parking is also available in the streets east of Northwestern Avenue, by Mackey Arena. Be sure to abide by any posted parking restrictions.

Expo
---After you get your packet, be sure to stick around for the Expo and mingle with all of our awesome sponsors and vendors!

Raceday Packet Pick Up
---Date: Saturday, October 19

Gear Check

Keep your personal belongings safe during the race and check your items into Gear Check, located just west of Packet Pick Up, on the north side of Ross-Ade Stadium.

Train with Fleet Feet West Lafayatte!

Join the Fleet Feet West Lafayette Fall Training Program this summer and start your path to success at the 2019 Purdue Boilermaker Half-Marathon & 5k! Their experienced coaches, pace groups, mentors and participants will provide lots of motivation along the way! Registration includes educational clinics, post-run refreshments, a technical shirt, weekly training newsletters, and exclusive in-store discounts!

Registration for the 2019 Fall Training Program will open on December 24. Once open, you can register at www.fleetfeetwestlafayette.com/training!

Restroom Facilities on Raceday

The restrooms on the northwest side of Ross-Ade Stadium will be open to the public.

Please do not use the portable toilets in the parking lot.

Restrictions

Participants must be AT LEAST 10 years old to compete in the half-marathon

For both the half-marathon and the 5k, we ask that our participants be able to maintain a pace of at least 18 minutes/mile.

[b]Participants are NOT permitted from running or walking with the following:
- Strollers
- Skates
- Bicycles
- Pets
