Compete in three Adventure Triathlons this summer to prove you’re the best around. The Timber City Adventure Race is June 23, followed by the Annawan Canal Ambush is September 8th, and finally the Taming of the Slough September 15. In each of these adventure triathlons you will be competing with others in kayaking, mountain biking, and cross country running. You must compete in all three races in order to win the 3x3 Cup. The Champion will be determined by the individual with the fastest combined time from the three races.

Timber City Adventure Race:
The race starts in Canton, IA, with an 8 mile kayak course down the Maquoketa River. Then comes a 14 mile road bike course featuring one of the steepest inclines in Jackson County. The race ends with a 3.1 mile run through the relatively flat city of Maquoketa.

Annawan Canal Ambush:
The Ambush starts with a 1.5 mile flat run, followed by a 6.7 mile flat paved bike course, and ends with a 1.8 mile paddle.

Taming of the Slough:
The Taming of the Slough features a 2.5 mile paddle course in the Sylvan Slough, followed by a 6 mile mountain bike ride on the single tracks through the remnants of a steel mill on Sylvan Island, and finishes with a 2 mile run through downtown Moline. All of the exchanges take place outside of the Bass Street YMCA at the foot of 17th Street in Moline.
