The 27th Annual Shamrock Run & Walk is the official race of the St. Patrick's Day Parade and it is hosted by the Indy Sports Foundation. The St. Patrick's Day Celebration events are the Foundation's largest fundraiser of the year.
The Foundation provides grant assistance to amateur sports organizations in Central Indiana. This year the Foundation has partnered with the Indianapolis Professional Firefighters 416 (IFD) on Mass Avenue in downtown Indianapolis. Event proceeds also benefit IFD.

All pre-registered participants will receive a shirt.
Race day shirts are not guaranteed for those who do not pre-register.

The Run/Walk starts and finishes on St. Clair Street next to the IFD Union Hall and Museum. A post-event celebration will take place in a large heated tent and inside the Union Hall. There will be live Irish entertainment, food, beer garden, merchandise. Event runs through 5pm on St. Patrick's Day.

Race Day:
We have secured FREE parking for Run/Walk participants close to the start/finish line. Located off of College Avenue. We will have details on the website. ShamrockRunWalk.com.

You will not be allowed to park on the race course.

The top three male and female finishers from the Shamrock Run will be awarded prizes.
The overall 1st place male and female finisher of each run will get their name engraved on the IAC Sports Foundation trophy displayed year round inside the Columbia Club.
Prizes will be awarded to the best overall Irish race costume (Crazy McCrackin Award).
All participants will have a chance to win door prizes.
Results will be posted online on the website after the event.

Q. Are Strollers Allowed in the Shamrock Run & Walk?
A. Yes, strollers are allowed in both. We do require the parent to sign a waiver for the child.

Q. If I am unable to pickup my race packet, can a friend or family member do so?
A. Yes. You will need last name or bib number to look up participant(s).

Q. Are animals allowed?
A. Animals are prohibited from race course, finish, and starting line area unless a licensed assistance animal

Q. When does online registration close?
A. Online registration will close on Friday, March 16th at 8:00 AM

Q. Can I still register at packet pick up or on race day?
A. Yes, registration will increase to $30.00 if you sign up at packet pick-up or on race day

Q. Do we need to register our children?
you must sign a release waiver for your child at packet pick-up.

Reward yourself with refreshments & live entertainment pre and post race. The Sports Foundation and the Indianapolis Firefighters welcome all on St. Patrick's Day. There will be a large heated tent with live entertainment and beer garden. Food will be available to purchase and the IFD Museum will be open to view. The event will run to 5pm. The website will post entertainment and times.
