About the Event |
The Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger is a premium experience for all ages and fitness levels. As a participant of this race, you'll be providing roughly 120 meals to feed local families in need! Additionally, you receive an awesome long sleeve race shirt and finisher medal!
Register now so you can help Red Gold CRUSH HUNGER on Saturday, October 13, 2018. All proceeds from the race will go to Second Harvest Food Bank and the Morrisett Center Food Pantry to help with the fight against hunger in central Indiana.
After finishing this event, use your 'free bowl of chili' coupon at the 33rd Annual Red Gold Chili Cook-Off and Colt's Blue Saturday in historic downtown Elwood!
Can't make it to Elwood, Indiana on October 13th? No problem! You can now join us to help Crush Hunger virtually! Sign-up for our virtual edition of the Red Gold Run to Crush Hunger where you can run the 5k or 10k race anywhere, alone or with your friends anytime during the month of October! Not only will your race entry provide meals to Hungry Hoosiers, but you also will receive our custom race bib and unique 4" finisher medal! Virtual registration will close on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11:59pm.

Course |
The event will start at the St. Joseph Center in Elwood, IN and finish at the 33rd Annual Red Gold Chili Cook-Off! The course will take you through a scenic district of Historic Downtown Elwood and next to the Red Gold Corporate Headquarters! Expect a mostly flat course with a water station located mid-way.
EMS Medical and Physical Therapy support will be on site for emergency or conditioning needs.

Early Packet Pick-up Party: You may pick up your materials (shirt, bib, information packet) the day before the event on Friday, October 12 at the St. Joseph Center (1306 S A St, Elwood, IN 46036) from 11:00AM-1:00PM or 5:00PM-6:00PM.
Event Day Packet Pick-up: Saturday, October 13 at the St. Joseph Center (1306 S A St, Elwood, IN 46036) from 8:00 am to 9:15 am. You also have the option to sign-up for late registration at this time (See Cost/Rates for more information)

Overall Male and Female winners in both the 10K & 5K will each receive:

Awards will be given to the top two male and female finishers of the 5k and 10k events in the following age groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.
