Event Details |
The 26th Networking Roundtable begins Wednesday, 6 September 2017. There're three notable events that day. First, an all day professional property manager training program, taught by Katie Hauck, MHM, & Kathy Taylor, MHM, to certify Manufactured Housing Managers. This is a separately ticketed event in this brochure. Today, more than 1,000 MHMs own/operate LLCommunities nationwide. Then, from 4-6 PM, Tammy Fonk, CHC, CLM & Joanne Stevens, CCIM, will host the all new 'Anatomy of the Deal! session for RE investors & brokers. And at 6-8PM, everyone will enjoy a reception celebrating National Land Lease Community Week!
Thursday morning, following breakfast, everyone will not only be Welcomed to this year's event, but will stand & introduce themselves, to facilitate networking. Then, for the first time at this venue, I'll (George Allen, CPM, MHM) share the 'State of the Manufactured Housing Industry & Land Lease Community Asset Class' message so popular with many state manufactured housing associations. Part of the session will be to distribute, complete, and collect 3X5 cards soliciting your identification of important industry and asset class issues and matters of concern. These, in turn, will be shared with national advocacy entities, MHARR, MHI. & COBA7. We're holding off naming the keynote speaker, awaiting how the Washington, DC., political turmoil settles.
Here's an overview of educational topics scheduled for this year's roundtable event: 'How to' of wealth preservation; rehabbing resale homes; buy, sell & seller-finance new HUD-Code homes on-site; compensation of on-site managers; 'net zero energy use' manufactured homes; default proofing seller-financing; real estate lenders & chattel capital lenders (including manufacturers) financing homes on-site; Federal Fair Housing tips we all need to hear; meet the RV/M H Hall of Fame; ins & outs of water meters;' rental homes on-site as a profit center; and much more, maybe GSE & HUD input. Well, there you have it; the gist of what makes the annual Networking Roundtable 'the place to be' if one owns/ operates one or more land lease communities in the U.S. & Canada. See you there!
