Event Schedule

All Health Solutions 5K finishers, 8K finishers, and kids run participants will receive finisher medals!

Register by June 11th to receive a custom race bib with your name on it!

Register by June 19th for guaranteed shirt sizing. Entries received after June 19th will receive shirt sizes as available. They will be first come, first served at packet pickup.

Health Solutions 8K Race

The Health Solutions 8k Race is our feature event!

Start/Finish line at 410 3rd Ave SE in front of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. The race will consist of an out and back route that will run from CRMA on 3rd Avenue SE, to Grande Avenue, into Bever Park to the turnaround and back down the same route to a downhill finish in front of CRMA.

This year's post race party will take place in Greene Square Park across from Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. Those over 21 will be able use two complimentary Miller Lite drink coupons at Bricks attached to your race bib.

Corridor Running Fifth Season 5K
The 5K route will follow the same route as the 8K, but have a turnaround on Grand Avenue. The 5K will start 5-10 minutes after the 8K.

Custom Race Bibs & Finisher's Medals:
Finishers medals are provided for the 5K finishes, 8K finishers, and and all kids' races. If you register early by June 11th, you also receive a custom race bib with your name on it.

Shirts:
Register by June 19th to receive a guaranteed shirt size. Any shirt requested after June 19th will be on a first come, first served basis at packet pickup.

PRIZE MONEY/AWARDS (BASED ON GUN TIMES)

Per USATF rules, all awards will be based on gun times. Chip timing will be used for personal verification only.

Age group medal awards for male and female age divisions in the Health Solutions 8K race will be as follows:

Top seven overall male and female racers are ineligible for age division awards in the Health Solutions 8K race.

Prize Money:
$3148 in total prize money will be awarded in the Health Solutions 8K race.

All prize money will be based on gun times.

Overall Winners:
Prize money will be awarded to the top seven male and female overall finishers in the Health Solutions 8K race as follows:

Bonus Money

$100 additional money will paid to the fastest male and fastest female Corridor Running member!

$300 additional money will be paid to any new male or female event record holder.

$200 additional money will be paid for any new male or female age division record holder.

Masters/Grand Masters:
Trophies will be awarded to the top Master male and female runners (40+) to finish the Health Solutions 8K race.

Trophies will be awarded to the top Grand Master male and female runners (50+) to finish the Health Solutions 8K race.

Eligibility:

High School and NCAA athletes are ineligible to receive prize money; prize money will be forfeited.

There will be no doubling of awards. One prize per athlete. Exception will be the additional moneys listed above.

Decision of race officials is final.

Fifth Season 5k Run/Walk

No prize money is awarded for the 5K Run/Walk. Age group medals to Top 3 in each age division for Fifth Season 5K racers.

Per USATF rules, all Fifth Season 5k awards will be based on gun times, with chip timing provided solely for runner convenience.

The 5th Season 5K Fun Run/Walk gives you the chance to get out with friends, stretch your legs, and enjoy an Iowa morning. Bring the kids and join a great group of health conscious Eastern Iowans. Strollers are welcome!

Timing:
The Fifth Season 5K race will utilize chip timing.
At packet pickup participants will receive an electronic timing chip.

The scenic and mostly flat course takes runners and walkers on an out-and-back course through historic Cedar Rapids neighborhoods. You'll get a chance to cheer the Health Solutions 8K leaders and people you know along the way. Enjoy course entertainment all along the route and a great party for the whole family afterwards.

Kids' Fun Runs

Finisher medals and commemorative race T-shirts to all kids who enter!

Kids love the races on the 4th of July! Open to kids 10 and under, they are a great way to teach kids how to live a healthy lifestyle.

Parents may run with their children and strollers are welcome! Sorry, no pets allowed.
Both races will be run on 3rd Ave SE, beginning in front of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. There's a Downtown Farmer's Market that morning, so make sure the kids get to show off their medal!

The staggered age group start begins with the Little Kids Run.

Little Kid Fun Run
For kids 5 and under, comprised of a .38 mile run

Big Kid Fun Run
For kids between 6 and 10, comprised of a .45 mile run

Youth Mile Run
For kids 12 and under

Training Runs

Be in top shape for one of the Corridor Running Fifth Season Races by training with fellow runners on Thursdays at 6:00 PM.

Join the Corridor Running group run as a part of the NewBo District's "Meet Me at the Market" event each Thursday night.

Post-Race Party

Following the race, participants and spectators can hang out with your fellow runners to enjoy fun, food and refreshments at the Fifth Season Race post race party. It will take place in Greene Square Park across from the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, with Kids Races happening on nearby on 3rd Avenue.

Complimentary Miller Lite drink coupons will be redeemable at after the race. Location Brick's. Bibs contain tear off coupons.

Fourth of July begins with a bang at the Corridor Running Fifth Season Races Post Party.

Race results will be posted at the race, and will also be available within after the race at www.fifthseasonrace.com

Get a custom race slip at the timing tent after the race. It will include your name, time, overall and division placing. The timing tent will be located in Greene Square Park

The 5th Season races supports the local Cedar Valley and Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity organizations. Habitat for Humanity works within our communities to affect the quality of life, health, and economic prosperity through a focus on clean, decent, and stable housing. The areas served include the following counties: Linn, Benton, Johnson, Iowa, Cedar, and Washington. The donations that are made are used locally within these counties.
