Awards and Prizes |
The 15k and 5k courses are USTAF certified with chip timing provided by Trinity Timing. All runners must wear their timing device in order to qualify for awards. The $22,000 prize purse will be divided between the top 10 male/female finishers and top four male/female masters' division finishers for the 15k race only, and will be broken down according to the following:
Men's/Women's Overall
1st - $2,500
2nd- $2,000
3rd - $1,500
4th - $1,000
5th - $750
6th - $650
7th - $550
8th - $450
9th - $350
10th - $250
Men's/Women's Masters
1st - $400
2nd - $300
3rd - $200
4th - $100
In addition, the top three finishers in each age division will receive a commemorative award. No duplicate awards will be given.

FitCity Tyler FRESH 15 Championship
As part of FitCity Tyler, we are proud to award the top local finishers cash prizes. Any current resident of Tyler, Texas, is eligible to win prize money for being the first Tyler local to cross the 15k finish line. Prize money will be awarded to the top three male and female runners as follows:

An Evening with Scott Jurek |
Join us for a delicious meal, great company and running motivation. Scott Jurek, award-winning ultra-marathoner and best-selling author of Eat & Run, will share his journey that started in his birthplace of Minnesota to a successful career in long-distance running, veganism, and determination. More than just a champion, Scott is a true student and ambassador of the sport, known to stay at finish lines cheering until the last runner crosses. A passionate advocate for vegetarianism, he follows a 100% plant-based diet, which he credits for his superior endurance, recovery and overall health. He believes that everyone can run an ultra and everyone can access their bodys innate capacity to heal. Through writing, public speaking, and consulting, Scott takes joy in encouraging people of all fitness levels to take the next step toward vibrant health.
We will also be celebrating the charities benefitting from the 2015 FRESH 15 - Bethesda Health Clinic, FitSTEPS for Life, Team Red, White & Blue and SEAL Legacy Foundation.
