Walk & 5K Details
Family friendly event.
Strollers and leashed pets allowed.
Running event will be timed.
Individual runners will be sent off first. Runners with pets or strollers to follow. Walkers to depart last to ensure safety and distancing.
The timed 5k run will be approximately 2 laps around Crystal Lake Park.
The length of the walk will be up to each participant. There will be a 1.5mile course or shorter course for those who wish to go off the primary route and cut through the park, signs will be posted.
Awards/Prizes
All participants registered by 9/3 are entered to win raffle prize gift card for local businesses! Includes walkers, runners, live and virtual.
Gift cards for Body n' Sole awarded to the top male and female runners at live event!
Event Purpose
Raise awareness for HIV/AIDS, work towards removing the stigma associated with HIV and raise funds to support GCAP’s mission here in East Central Illinois. Join us in taking steps towards making a difference in our community.
COVID19 Protocols
Social distancing encouraged. Masks not required but recommended for unvaccinated individuals when social distancing isn’t possible.
Note: GCAP will follow CUPHD recommendations in regards to COVID19. In the event the 2021 5K will need to be held virtually, we will provide pick-up locations for t-shirts
