The Underground Railroad Run is a 5K run and a 3K fitness walk starting at Westfield High School and meandering through historic downtown Westfield. There is a recovery station and health fair open to all. A cotton or tech race shirt is available for purchase. The event benefits the Westfield Education Foundation.

Elementary school children must be accompanied by an adult. Please, for the safety of our participants, NO pets on race day.

The Westfield Education Foundation's mission is to promote excellence in education for students at Westfield Washington Schools through classroom teaching grants, academic awards and college scholarships to enrich their learning experience. To date, the foundation has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships and teacher grants.

The Underground Railroad Run is our primary fundraiser for the school year. Other events include our Dinner Dance and Silent Auction, Harlem Wizards Basketball Game, Yankee Candle Sales, Education License Plates, The CollegeChoice Fund, as well as the WHS brick "Wall of Fame".

SHOW YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT!
The Westfield School that has the highest number of registrations (in the run and walk combined) will win rights to the traveling trophy, as well as a $500 for their school's Physical Education program.

Please select the school that you wish to support from the drop down menu on your online registration form.

You must be registered by the end of the day on April 8, 2018 to be counted toward your schools total.

Friday, April 13
12:00PM-6:00PM: Packet pick up at Westfield High School in Auditorium.
Use door #5 to enter.
Late registration will be available for those who missed the online registration deadline. Participants may also pick up their race materials/t-shirts.

Sunday, April 15
7:30AM-8:45AM: Race day packet pick-up in the Auditorium Atrium.
Participants can enter the building through doors 1 and 5.
Late registration will be available during this time. Participants may pick up their race materials.

RACE DAY AWARDS
Overall:
1st Place- $100
2nd Place- $50
3rd Place- $25

Gift Certificates ($15) will be awarded to the 1st place male and female finishers in each age division of the 5K. Age divisions start at age 20 and go up in 5 year increments.
The top three boys and girls will receive medals in their age divisions: 12 & Under, 13-14, and 15-19.

Awards ceremony will take place in the WHS Large Group Instruction (LGI) Room near the WHS Auditorium around 10:15AM
