Description |
The 4th Annual Purdue Boilermaker Half Marathon and 5K will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 8:00AM. The race will start at the home of Purdue Boilermaker football, Ross-Ade stadium, and meanders through the Purdue campus and the cities of West Lafayette and Lafayette. The course will highlight many of the more popular sites among these two cities in addition to the Purdue campus. This will be a great opportunity for Purdue alumni, students and Purdue sports fans to participate in a half marathon and 5k race on the Purdue campus! Course |
A great course that will begin on the Purdue Campus and travel along many scenic roads from W. Lafayette into the City of Lafayette and back to the Purdue Campus. Expect top quality water station and replacement fluids along the course. Medical stations will be along the way.
Entertainment stations will be positioned along the course to keep you motivated!
Highlights |
All Half-Marathon participants will receive a high quality long sleeve tech shirt and 5K participants will receive a long sleeve cotton shirt. Finisher medals to all finishers in both the half and the 5K. Expect great food/drink at the finish line. Awards ceremony will take place later in the morning at the race site. Age group awards will be presented to top finishers in 5-year increments in both the Half and 5K.
Packet Pick-Up |
The 2015 Purdue Half Marathon and 5K Expo and Packet Pick-Up will be held from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 16th at the Morton Community Center, located at 222 N. Chauncey, West Lafayette, IN 47906. Pick-up your race materials and visit booths of local vendors and businesses! You may also register late and pick up your packet on Saturday morning from 6:00am to 8am on the north side of Ross Ade Stadium.
Restrictions |
Please no pets, strollers, skates or bicycles. You must maintain a minimum pace of 18 minutes/mile during the half-marathon and 5K events.
Benefit |
The Purdue Boilermaker Half Marathon will benefit the Purdue Athletes Life Success program. PALS is a free summer youth development program for underserved local Tippecanoe County children ages 8-14.
