The Springfield Area Arts Council proudly offers its 2nd annual, family-friendly run/walk/stroll on December 28, 2014! Join us at SCHEELS All Sports to "stART off the year with heART" as we begin our annual celebration of First Night!

For over 25 years, First Night has provided quality entertainment to the Springfield area in a fun, family-friendly environment, including local performers, kids activities and fireworks! This year we are partnering with the American Heart Association of Springfield, to bring art and wellness together! As part of our 5k, the American Heart Association will receive a portion of the proceeds collected.

The race will begin in the south parking lot of SCHEELS, around the back of the Quaker Steak and Lube building and Engrained. At the corner of MacArthur and Lincolnshire, the participants will go south along Lincolnshire to hop on the Springfield Interurban Trail towards Chatham. Runners will loop down and back on the Interurban Trail to end back in the south parking lot of SCHEELS. In addition, the race will be professionally timed by Steve Snyder.

There will be an after party for all participants at Engrained Brewing Company directly following the awards ceremony.

- Male and Female long-sleeved t-shirts will be available for every
participant on race day, until December 11th at midnight.

- Shirts will be available after this date, but will be mailed directly
following the day of race.
