Virtual Run for Sight 2020 - Will's World
Thursday, July 30, 2020 in United States
Thank you so much for supporting Team Will's World and all children in the greater St. Louis area who are blind or visually impaired. We are so excited to once again participate in the Delta Gamma Center Run for Sight.
Beginning soon after his diagnosis of Bilateral Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and Nystagmus at the age of 4 months, the Delta Gamma Center provided vision therapy to our Will, along with support to our family. These services helped ensure Will could reach his full potential. DGC is the only organization in the area specializing in services for young children who are blind or visually impaired and their families.
Will is now 9 years old, and amazes us each and every day. He has a huge heart and loves his family and friends. He recently successfully completed his first season of ice hockey, he also plays soccer and golf, plays the violin, loves to read, enjoys science, and does extremely well in school. Daily life isn't always easy for him as Bilateral Optic Nerve Hypoplasia comes along with many other challenges. Will struggles with adrenal insufficiency, hypoglycemia, epilepsy, migraines, and sensory processing difficulties. The kid lets nothing stop him! HE HAS WILL POWER!
Thank you for supporting our boy and The Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments. You are so appreciated!
Love,
Kevin, Sarah, Will, and Olivia Jennings
