Nebraska Football Road Race - Ethan's doing things

It is amazing how far Ethan has come with his running in the past 2 and a half years. His first miles were ran at the Thayer central cross country meet where we discovered a mile just wasn’t near enough for him. We attempted a turkey run when Ethan was just 5 yrs and 3 months old. He splashed in every single puddle he could find and I ended up carrying a freezing cold child about 2 miles. We decided we would hold off for a bit longer but that summer he was ready to give it another go, and ended up beating me by 10 minutes at his very first husker road race in 2016! He hasn’t stopped running since then.
He has learned how to run in a straight line and is getting much better at not cutting other runners off (thankfully runners are all super supportive and don’t get angry with him when he does happen to run right in front of them). Running is definitely his favorite pastime and he’s been able to run for a lot of great causes, cures for cancer, epilepsy, state park funds, and meals on wheels.
