CCVI Trolley Run - 30th Annual - Eddie's Entourage
Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Kansas City, MO at 75th and Wornall Road
In 2010, shortly after Eddie's first birthday, we learned that his retinas were detached. As he was having the first surgeries to try to save his eyesight, we found CCVI, and they were with us every step of the way from then until Eddie started kindergarten in his home school district.
CCVI gave Eddie an amazing start, making sure he had the tools and resources necessary to be successful in school and life. They made sure we, as parents, knew what we were doing (and believe me, the learning curve was enormous) and were prepared to be his advocates. They gave Rosie a great start, too, as a sighted peer, helping her become the caring person she is today.
For everything CCVI has given us, we try in some small way to give back by walking each year in the Trolley Run. We hope you'll be able to join us bright and early on April 29th for this year's event!
