CCVI Trolley Run - 30th Annual - Miles of Smiles

Who likes to get up at the butt crack of dawn and walk/run four miles in potentially cold and rainy weather? Yeah, me neither!

What if I told you incredible volunteers would be cheering you on and some might be cooking and handing out bacon along the route. And at the end of the four miles you will be showered with grateful smiles, love, food, music and beer. What if I told you that by participating or donating you will be directly supporting Miles and his buddies at CCVI to build a foundation of skills that will help them reach maximum potential in a sighted world.

CCVI has been a very large part of our team for the past 4 years; not only providing education and therapy for Miles but also educating and supporting me in effectively advocating for Miles.

CCVI is one of the most humbling places I've ever been. Bursting with love, triumphs and struggles. It's where I feel like I belong, not because my son is disabled like most other children there. Because I'm able to be vulnerable and real without fear of judgement in that building and with those people. It's (one of) my happy place(s)... And I'd love to give you a glimpse of what that looks and feels like.
