Parkinson's Steady Strides 5K Race - Ebner & Ward Families

Dear Family, Friends and Neighbors:

We are asking your help again this year to further the mission of the Parkinson Support & Wellness (PSW) organization by contributing to the Ebner/Ward Family Team which will participate in our Steady Strides 5K Race/Walk fundraiser June 3rd.

PSW is an independent 501 (c)(3) nonprofit. All money raised here stays in the Tri-State.

PSW exists for one simple purpose: to help people with Parkinson's disease and their families live well with a difficult and chronic disorder.

The Ebner family has been involved in leadership roles in the organization for a decade motivated by our son Tom's diagnosis of early on-set PD. Dave was diagnosed 2 years ago, so the idea of helping people live well with Parkinson's is a bit self serving, but that seems okay.

The tag line of our logo is: Learning. Moving. Sharing. The money we raise is aimed at delivering against these three objectives.

Learning: Educational programs throughout the year empower us and help those with PD make connections that improve wellness.

Moving: PSW makes grants to programs of exercise appropriate for and specific to the deficits of people with PD. Exercise like the meds we take keeps us moving.

Sharing: PD often results in those affected feeling isolated and without hope. Through support groups and other program events, and certainly including the Steady Strides race, PSW creates a Community of mutual caring and support.

We will appreciate whatever help you may be willing to provide.
