I love the Avondale Meadows Y!
It serves as a beacon of hope in one of Indianapolis' most vulnerable communities. Here our families and Seniors are encouraged and celebrated!
As a mother and board member, I especially appreciate how much energy this Y puts into empowering, uplifting and motivating our children. Children feel loved here. Cherished. Protected. There are few Christian based community centers in Indianapolis that can consistently provide free or subsidized programs and services-- that are also culturally relevant. Our kids need this Y to be sustained and supported.
This is why I am participating in the upcoming first annual Cycle-Thon! (eeek!)
Please consider joining me on a bike or cheer me on with a small contribution.
Also, cover me in prayer. 2.5 hours of Spin is surely not for the faint at heart.
