Event Details

The Tri Your Luck Triathlon kicks off on Saturday September 13, 2014. This sprint distance race is a wonderful event for racers looking for that one race that is just a little bit different from the rest. This venture style course includes a combination of gravel, and paved surfaces with several elevation changes, and is sure to challenge even experienced athletes.

The course will be accurately measured and well-marked, and the race will be chip-timed by Gopher State Events.

Participants and spectators are invited for a post-race party downtown luck starting at 2:00 p.m.

Date and Time

When: September 13, 2014. Transition opens at 7:00 am, Registration 7:30, pre-race meeting at the public beach 8:45, race starts at 9:00 am.

Where: Luck Lions Park, 1510 S. Shore Dr., Luck WI 54853

Race day registration will be available for $90 for individuals, and $120 for teams.

Distances

2 mile kayak, 16 mile bike, 5 mile run

Kayak: Kayak event starts and finishes at the public beach on Big Butternut Lake. There will be a short uphill trek from the beach to the bike transition area (shoes required). No Canoes

Bike: Course is 16 miles of combined gravel and paved surfaces. Mountain or Hybrid bikes (no road bikes) can be used. Helmets are required

Run: With the exception of a 2 mile out & back gravel stretch, the course runs primarily along the outer perimeters of the beautiful Luck Golf Course. This landscape includes several significant elevation changes that are guaranteed to challenge even experienced runners.

Transition Area: Transition is located the Lions Park Shelter. Transition area will be monitored and secure.

Timing

This event will be chip-timed by Gopher State events.

Packet Pick Up

On race morning, packet pick-up will start at 7:00 am at the Lions Park Shelter near transition.

Awards

Overall awards, 1st, 2nd & 3rd will be awarded to men and women. Overall awards will also be given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd teams.

Age Group awards, 1st, 2nd & 3rd will be awarded for each age group, men & women. Age groups are as follows: 20-30, 31- 40, 41-50, 51 - 60, 61 & over.

** Awards ceremony will begin at 12 noon (granted all racers are in) **

T-Shirts

Each Participant will receive a free event T-Shirt. Adult Sizes available -S, M, L, XL

T-Shirts will be for sale to the public for $15 each.

Refund and Inclement Weather Policy

Tri Your Luck Triathlon has a strict NO REFUND policy. Refunds will not be issued for any reason, other than race cancelation due to inclement weather. The race director reserves the right to cancel the race or alter the race and its course at any point in time to preserve racer safety.
