About the Bridge to Bridge Run |
The Illinois River is a precious natural resource that helps define Central Illinois. Physically and metaphorically, several bridges unite each side of the river. In cooperation with the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission, the Illinois Department of Transportation, and the Cities of East Peoria and Peoria; the Illinois Valley Striders is pleased to introduce the Bridge to Bridge Run - a unique running/walking four mile event that features two major bridges. The Bridge to Bridge Run starts on Kumpf Boulevard near the Peoria Civic Center, crosses the Illinois River over the Robert Michel Bridge, tours the new Downtown East Peoria, returns to Peoria over the Cedar Street Bridge, continues through the Peoria Warehouse District, and finishes inside Peoria Chiefs Stadium (formerly O'Brien Field) with a Post-Race Party featuring refreshments and entertainment.

Limited packet pick-up will be available on race day, between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. adjacent to the Starting Line Staging Area on Kumpf Blvd. near the Peoria Civic Center.

- Top three Masters Male and Female Finishers*
- Top three Male and Female in age groups: 18 & under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+
*Top three Overall and Masters Awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony at 8:30
a.m. All awards' category results will be posted, and the age group awards will be available for pick-up after the Awards Ceremony at Peoria Chiefs Stadium.
