Zombie Rampage 5K Run

• At the start of the race, humans will be given a head start and zombies will attempt to catch and "infect" them. If a human is tagged by a zombie, he or she must surrender his or her "human card". Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Zombies will be wearing two "health" flags to identify them as zombies. These can be stolen by either humans or zombies. Once a zombie has lost both "health" flags, he or she can no longer "infect" a human. Prizes will be awarded to the first human to cross the finish line with his or her human card and the zombie who "infects" the most humans with at least one "health" in tact.
  
• This is a fun run, so official times will not be recorded. You may bring your own timing device to use during the race, but this time will have no bearing on the awarding of prizes or count for any official qualifying time for other races.
  
• iPods or mp3 players with headphones are permitted, but please be aware of your surroundings.
  
• Pushing, shoving and rough tagging is not permitted. Race officials along the course may disqualify runners at any time for unsportsmanlike conduct.
  
• Do not run more than two abreast on the course.
  
• Costumes are permitted - even encouraged - as long as your costume does not interfere with other runners or obstruct your flags from view.
  
[*]For the safety of you and other runners, please do not bunch at the finish line. Keep moving until you reach the recovery area with water and refreshments.

Please arrive at the starting line well before 7:00 a.m., as race officials will be lining runners up according to human/zombie classification and pace.

You must be present to pick up your race day packet, which includes your souvenir t-shirt and zombie flags or human card. Those who register after October 26 will not receive a free t-shirt.

Packet pick-up begins at 6:00 a.m. at the Happy Hollow Shelter facing East Broadway. (Marked with the first aid symbol on the course map.)

There are three parking areas around Stephens Lake Park. Race officials will be directing traffic on race day to help everyone find a space to park. Please carpool whenever possible to prevent congestion and save gas.

There are three aid stations located along the course, between 1K and 2K, between 2K and 3K and right before 4K. There will also be refreshments at the finish. Please do not loiter near aid stations.
