Louisiana State Tri Club Challenge |
The Meat Pie Tri race directors have created the Louisiana Tri Club Challenge as a fun and challenging opportunity for state clubs to compete against one another, awarding points in such a fashion that every finisher will make a difference.
RALLY THE TROOPS!
Every club member's finish counts, so rally the troops! The club that earns the most total points will:
- Be crowned the "Louisiana Tri Club Champion."
- Receive the Club Challenge Cup Award.
- Earn bragging rights for one year!
Points will be awarded as follows:
Top 3 Male and Female Overall (only Age Group participants are eligible):
- 1st = 10 points
- 2nd = 8 points
- 3rd = 6 points
Top 5 Male and Female in each Age Group:
- 1st = 6 points
- 2nd = 5 points
- 3rd = 4 points
- 4th = 3 points
- 5th = 2 points
Overall Masters and Grand Masters:
- 1st = 8 points
Relay division: (must be composed of 3 club members*)
- 1st = 6 points
- 2nd = 5 points
- 3rd = 4 points
*Only teams composed of club members from the same club will be eligible for placement points. However, if a club member participates with a non-club member(s), the member will be awarded 1 point for that team's finish.
NOTE:
- Not all participants will be affiliated with a Club, therefore should these participants place in the above ranks, there will be no points awarded to a Tri Club. However, should a "Pro" status athlete place Top 3 Overall, spots will roll down accordingly.
- Each finisher will be awarded either a point for finishing or points for placement in his/her perspective division.
- Our tri trust is based on your honesty and commitment to uphold the highest standards of Louisiana triathlon race directors and participants. The Club Challenge will rely on the Club President (or Representative) to abide by the "Honor System." Club rosters must be turned in to the race director by 9/17/12. Any club found to be playing by any system other than the Honor System will be DQ'd.
- Note: Drafting is illegal and will not be tolerated. Therefore, any member penalized for drafting will not be eligible for points!
- Please ask club members to include the tri club name on their registration form, whether online or hard copy version.
[*]Club members that have not registered before packet pick-up are not guaranteed to be included in the teams totaled points.
