Elkhart Titans 16U and 18U

It is the goal of the Elkhart Titans Baseball Club to create an environment that will allow the players to realize their capabilities as baseball players; to develop confidence, self esteem and poise as athletes; to understand that their achievements are a direct result of their efforts; to teach the integrity of the game of baseball and to help players understand the greatness of the game while learning the life lessons associated with baseball and to understand that sportsmanship, not showmanship, is the major ingredient in playing with class.

Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of baseball and to prepare our boys for high school, college, and a higher level of success in the game of baseball and the game of life. We take the love of the game very seriously, while at the same time seeing that the boys have fun and enjoy the great game of baseball.

PLAYER EXPECTATIONS

• Players will show a firm commitment to the Titans team, this means timeliness and attendance at ALL games and practices.
  
• ATTENDANCE in FULL uniform is expected at ALL games.
  
• Players are to give 100% in all practice and games.
  
• Good attitudes are the only attitudes that are acceptable.
  
• Show respect towards each of your fellow teammates and show respect to every coach and every player with which you come in contact, including opposing players and coaches.
  
• Show respect to ALL umpires and league officials, regardless of your thoughts/feelings about him/her.
  
• Hustle is part of every practice and game, no exceptions. You will play as you practice.
  
• Teamwork is the only way to succeed.
  

PARENT EXPECTATIONS

• Parents are responsible for getting their son to each practice and game.
  
• Any comments made to umpires, other teams or spectators should be positive. Our children are watching…
  
• When the boys take the field they are Titans, give only encouragement please.
  
• Any parent wanting to voice their opinion may do so - after the practice or game, to the manager.
  

COACHING EXPECTIONS

• We will give the boys and parents 100% dedication throughout the Titans' season.
  
• We view players as positional and strive for results based on their individual strengths and weaknesses for success of the Titans team.
  
• ONLY Church, family, and education come before Titans baseball.
  

Baseball is a game with rules and boundaries, much like life. The Titans' coaching staff hopes to instill responsibility, pride, a sense of belonging, and a commitment to team work in every player. We feel that the points listed above will help ready our boys for success.

Your player fee is $650.00 (this includes your cap and a $50.00 deposit for the jersey). A $200.00 down payment is due by January 1, 2012, a second payment of $200.00 is due by February 15, and the final payment is due by March 15, 2012. This increase reflects the extremely high cost of college showcase tournament fees.

There are three different ways to meet your player fee:
(1) Pay the fee
(2) Obtain two or more corporate sponsors at the Silver level ($250.00 - $500.00) and your player fee will be reduced by 50%.
(3) Obtain two or more corporate sponsors at the Gold ($500.00-$749.00) or Platinum ($750.00 or more) level and your player fee will be waved.

We will also need a copy of your birth certificate; this should be given to Coach Drew with the fee. (NOTE: ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!) Each player will be responsible for the cost of his pants, socks, and belt. If your cap is lost, you will need to purchase a replacement for $15.00. (Note: Titans must be in complete uniform to play!) Your jersey remains the property of Elkhart Titans Baseball Club, Inc. The $50.00 deposit will be refunded upon return of your jersey. Parents may incur additional expenses associated with the Titans (i.e. transportation, meals, gate fees, etc.).

You will not be placed on the roster for 2012 Elkhart Titans until your commitment form, birth certificate AND player fee have been received.
