Brief Description |
The Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride, organized by Hostelling International - Minnesota, is a one-day recreational bike ride held on Sunday, May 1, 2011. We offer routes of 17, 30, 68 or 100 miles to accommodate all riders. We annually attract 5,000 riders of all ages and abilities; those new to riding, seasoned veterans and families. Well organized, great routes, variety of food and snacks and friendly volunteers have built our 45 year reputation.
The Minnesota Gran Fondo is new for 2011. In honor of our 45th year we wish to celebrate our long history by offering an exciting new event for the serious Ironman cyclist. Based on rides in Italy, it will be a timed recreational ride. The Gran Fondo offers a start/finish line, on-line results based on age categories. Registration fees include a custom Grand Fondo cycling jersey. Riders can sign up for the 100 mile ride (max 500 riders) or the 68 mile ride (max 1000 riders). Riders share the roads with vehicles and with bicyclists riding the traditional Minnesota Ironman Bike Ride.

- All routes begin and end at Lakeville North High School, Lakeville MN.

Confirmation Newsletter and Rider Numbers |
- After registration closes on April 17, we will e-mail you the Confirmation Newsletter and your 2011 Rider Number.
- You will need your rider number for ride check-in.
- Please provide a unique e-mail address for each rider.

Start Time |
- MN Ironman Riders check in between 6:30 and 9:30 AM on day of ride.
- 100 mile riders are requested to leave by 8:30 AM.
- MN Gran Fondo Riders will pick up their rider packet, instructions, jersey and timing chip before Sunday, May 1st.
- Detailed instructions will follow later in the season. The Gran Fondo will begin with a mass start at 7:00 AM.
